Hi, this is Rabbi Andy Koren, Temple Emanuel, Greensboro, North Carolina, and today is the beginning of the Hebrew month of Elul.

We're still in the month of Av, it happens to be a two-day new month, and it's at this time of year that we start to share teachings in the lead-up to Rosh Hashanah.

The last Hebrew month of the year, Elul, is considered a time of self-reflection, and we offer something known as the Pearls of Elul.
