GET INVOLVED

Temple Emanuel Brotherhood is open to all! This group gets together to build our large menorah for Hanukkah, grill hot dogs for Kesher, give food out downtown to those in need, and many other service projects!

This is a fun bunch who are welcoming to all interested in their activities.

Chesed

Chesed is our Caring Community Group, they do lots of work to make meals for those hurting in our community or celebrating a simcha. They make and deliver to families in our congregation.

In an effort to better serve our community in times of simcha and in need, we are starting a new network for community care. If you are interested in visiting those in need, making phone calls, preparing food, or any other mitzvah that a member in our community might need, please sign up below and someone from our administrative staff will contact you.

There is a social group called the Temple Emanuel Cooking Club which gets together occasionally to cook different foods. It is open to everyone to come out and learn a recipe from their fellow community members.

The food made either goes to helping support a temple event or it gets taken to those in need in our community.

Friendship Circle is a social group for our older adults. Once a month they meet for lunch with either entertainment or a learning experience.

It's a great opportunity to socialize with others, learn something new, have a little fun, and enjoy a delicious lunch.

Our B'yachad program consists of Friday night Shabbat Services or Havdalah Services for families' with children in second grade or younger.

This is a chance for parents to socialize and for families to connect with one another and celebrate Shabbat together.

Temple Emanuel Sisterhood is a women's social group for all ages. They get together to explore restaurants and foodie places in Greensboro, as well as holding a regular Book Club Schmooze each month.

They also run the Temple's gift shop which has Judaica for all those interested.

The Sisterhood is for all ages who are interested interested in spending time with other women doing various activities.

Social Action is a huge part of what we do here at Temple Emanuel. We have many initiatives going on constantly. From collecting food and items for those in need to setting up new homes for new refugees settling in Greensboro, Temple has space for many social action initiatives.

You could be a part of them all! You could even come up with a new project!

Aviv is a hands-on gardening program for all ages about building connections with each other, our earth, and our community, by growing food to donate to local pantries.

No gardening experience necessary!
