About the event
Rabbi Ed Stafman served as Rabbi of Congregation Beth Shalom from 2008, through his retirement in 2018.
Before this, Rabbi Stafman’s passion for justice led him to become a civil rights attorney representing victims of discrimination and working people and labor unions, later shifting mainly to criminal defense, often defending those facing the death penalty.
He joined Rabbi Guttman in Selma Alabama for the Jewish commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Bloody Sunday.
Together with Rabbi Guttman, he served on the Commission of Social Action of Reform Judaism.
On January 4. Ed became a member of the Montana House of Representatives, representing District 62.
In a recent conversation with rabbi Guttman, Ed spoke of his interaction with several representatives who are followers of Q ANON.
Ed is an outstanding rabbi with a very unusual career and a great story to tell.
In his words, “I know the value of hard work I've waited tables, worked in retail, and programmed computers. My passion for justice led me to become a civil rights attorney representing victims of discrimination and working people and labor unions, later shifting mainly to criminal defense, often defending those facing the death penalty.”
Join us at 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 31 on Zoom for a wonderful schmooze with a dedicated fighter for justice.
