Pearls of Elul 5786 - Day Fifteen

As we come to the end of this week’s journey through these songs, we arrive at Hayom T’am’tzeinu by Noah Aronson. This is a prayer for strength, blessing, and the courage to move forward. The words, drawn from the High Holy Day liturgy, begin with a simple plea, “Strengthen us today.”

And perhaps that is the heart of what this season asks of us. Elul has invited us to listen, remember, grieve, give thanks, seek forgiveness, and return. Now, as we stand on the threshold of Rosh Hashanah, we ask for the strength to take what we have heard and carry it with us into the year ahead.

I hope this week of music has been meaningful and enjoyable for you. It is my sincere prayer that these songs continue to echo within us, not simply as music we have heard, but as reminders of who we want to be in 5787. May we all be strengthened today, blessed today, and supported as we step courageously into the New Year in a couple short weeks.
