Presenting an important song cycle at Temple Emanuel in Greensboro, NC. The Songs of the Shulamite by Italian/American composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco is set to verses from the Song of Solomon and has not been performed anywhere since its premiere in Los Angeles in 1953.

Presenting an important song cycle at Temple Emanuel in Greensboro, NC. The Songs of the Shulamite by Italian/American composer Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco is set to verses from the Song of Solomon and has not been performed anywhere since its premiere in Los Angeles in 1953. This concert features soprano Jodi Burns, with Grace Ludtke, harp; Lucian Rinando, flute; Janet Orenstein, 1st violin; Stephanie Ezerman, 2nd violin; Maureen Michels, viola; Samuel Magill, cello.
The other major work on this fascinating program is Debussy's masterful Sonata for Flute, Viola, and Harp, with the Viola part played on Cello. There will be some Preludes by Debussy which have been arranged for Flute, Cello, and Harp.
