About the event

A Message From Rabbi Guttman

This year’s MLK service will be really, really special! We are in for such a treat!

Our keynote speaker will be the incredible Bishop James R. Woodson, II. He is a good friend of mine, a lover of Israel, and a wonderful speaker.

Our musical guest this year will be Guilford County Schools Board of Education Member (District 1), T. Dianne Bellamy-Small. She is a wonderful motivational speaker and singer, who has worked as a trainer and consultant for the Exceptional Children's Assistance Center and as the assistant manager of detention centers for the North Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

Additionally, there will be a presentation by the Kernodle Middle School Chorus, under the direction of Ms. Louisa Huerta.

This service has always been an extraordinarily moving one and we are privileged to have so many incredibly special guests for this year’s service.

The purpose of this service is not only to honor the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, but also to reach out and facilitate dialogue with our African American neighbors. Please invite your friends and associates to attend this service. Even better, invite them to a Shabbat dinner before the service! Past participants in the interfaith missions are most especially invited.

Please join us, with your friends, and be a positive force for increasing human understanding in our community, our nation, and our world.
