About the event
Join us for a special Friday night service as we commemorate Juneteenth and explore Jewish involvement in the Civil Rights movement. Our guest speaker, Neil Belenky, will share his personal story, focusing on how he and many others, came to the South to register voters in the early 1960s.
Temple Emanuel is opened at a limited capacity for Friday evening Shabbat services. Priority will be given to those who have a yahrzeit or who have recently lost a loved one.
*** For indoor services, everyone attending must be vaccinated, so only adults and children 16 and older who are fully vaccinated can attend at this time.
Reservations are required, and all who attend must attest to the fact they have been vaccinated. The sanctuary has been set up to allow for physical distancing. Effective June 4th, mask-wearing is optional but encouraged for those who have any health concerns.
Please do not attend if you are not feeling well, or have any reason to think you may have been exposed to Covid.
