About the event
Have you wanted to read stories in the Tanakh that are not currently read in weekly services? Stories of the judges, the kings, the scrolls? This class will introduce you to fascinating accounts of those whose names you have heard, but whose stories you have not studied in detail. Karen will help you to look for interpretive clues, such as Hebrew words or phrases that repeat or suggest deeper meanings. She will offer tools beyond the P’shat, the simple meaning of the words, that offer a deeper dive into each account, providing students the chance to create their own midrash.
