iEngage: Liberal Zionism: Between Crisis and Aspiration

Seeking to shift the conversation about Israel from a focus on conflict to one rooted in shared Jewish values, ideas, and peoplehood, Temple Emanuel will be hosting monthly Shabbat afternoon iEngage sessions. The first will take place on Saturday, September 26.

iEngage is a program developed for community use by the Shalom Hartman Institute. Rabbi Koren has spent two of the last three summers in Jerusalem as a participant on Hartman's Rabbinic Torah Seminar.

Temple Emanuel congregants are invited to gather to examine questions related to the main theme of " Liberal Zionism: Between Crisis and Aspiration." Each month, participants will interact with one another using source sheets and video lectures featuring scholars such as Tal Becker and Rabbi Donniel Hartman.

This program is free-of-charge, but is not open to the public.
