The Always Prayershawl and Sharing Our Stories with Marcia Berger
Relax and take in a story as our librarian Marcia Berger reads her favorite book, the Always Prayershawl by Sheldon Oberman, in the library. The Always Prayershawl tells the story of a young boy, Adam, growing up in czarist Russia. His grandfather teaches him the importance of Jewish beliefs and customs. When Adam and his parents emigrate to America, his grandfather gives Adam his prayershawl. Join us to find out what happens to Adam and his prayershawl. After hearing the story, we will have a chance to share stories from our own families.
