Temple Menorah Set Up

at 9:30 a.m.

Join Temple's Brotherhood and help them set up the menorah for us all to enjoy!

Monday, December 3: Night 2

No Chanukah events at Temple on Monday? No worries! Check out our "Chanukah 101" for recipes and Chanukah activities and enjoy the Second Night of Chanukah at your home!

Tuesday, December 4: Night 3

Pop-Up Doughnut Shop

from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

Enjoy some delicious Chanukah treats!

Wednesday, December 5: Night 4

Friendship Circle Chanukah Lunch

at 12:00 noon

Enjoy entertainment by the Temple’s preschool students! Rabbi Guttman will talk about the meaning of Chanukah and discuss this year’s Chanukah message: confronting anti-Semitism.

Holiday Concert at LeBauer Park

from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

Come support some of Temple's very own and show the Greensboro community what Chanukah is all about!

 

Celebrate the season in LeBauer Park with a free concert! All are welcome to join us at the Price/Bryan Performance Place for Klezmer music with a swingin' southern feel by the Sinai Mountain Ramblers. Temple Emanuel will provide crafts for families

Friday, December 7: Night 6

Chanukah Glow Shabbat Service at Greene Street Campus

at 6:30 p.m.

Bring your menorah and 7 candles so we can celebrate the 6th night of Chanukah together in our beautiful downtown campus on Greene Street! Followed by a festive oneg!

Saturday, December 8: Night 7

Celebrate Chanukah at home with a game of dreidel and some delicious latkes! See our "Chanukah 101" for a recipe to make your own apple sauce. 

Sunday, December 9: Night 8

Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins-Play

at 10:30 a.m.

RESCHEDULED TO THE FOLLOWING SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16 at 11:00 a.m.

See Hershel of Ostropol take on a series of goblins over eight nights and his epic showdown with the King of the Goblins as Hanukkah concludes. A musical, written and directed by Karen Dresser, based on the charming children’s book by Eric Kimmel. The cast is made up of Temple Emanuel Religious School children. No cost to attend, but contributions to future shows are very welcome!

*The play will also be shown on Tuesday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m.

Chanukah Family Celebration & Concert: CANCELLED

The Billy Jonas Concert and Chanukah Celebration planned for this Sunday evening has been cancelled due to the anticipated winter weather and to allow Billy Jonas to adjust his travel plans. We will reschedule the concert as soon as possible in 2019.
